Through the clouds on the red-eye
It's been ten months since last time
All is dark except the cockpit lights
The passengers are as still as mimes

I count the clusters through the exit row window
To try to put myself to sleep
The captain's turned off the seatbelt indicator
So I get out of my seat

Memory banks are full

Crowning sand castle kings and queens
Empires as far as we could reach
